An Evening with Antonia Scatton and Lucian Truscott IV
Where We Are and Where We’re Going
July 1 2025 • 6–7 PM MDT
Antonia Scatton is an expert in political communication and organizing. Her mission is to help us all learn how best to frame our messaging so it resonates with and persuades the people we are trying to reach. She has worked closely with Democratic National Chair Ken Martin to bring in-person messaging and framing workshops to state and local leadership in key target states.
Scatton’s Reframing America newsletter on Substack aims to hack the public debate with cognitive science, revitalize the Democratic Party, unleash the power of volunteers and community, and make basic human decency popular again. |

About Us:
Blue CD2 New Mexico is a grassroots organization, formed in 2021, which was instrumental in the election of Gabe Vasquez to the NM District 2 House seat. Unlike other Democratic groups, we focus on registered but reluctant voters who generally don't go to the polls. We have successfully helped motivate these voters to vote in the last 2 elections. Gabe has now won twice, but the district is highly contested. Learn more about us here. |
Lucian Truscott IV has had a 50-year career as a journalist, covering stories such as Watergate, the Stonewall riots and three wars. The fourth generation of a prominent military family, Truscott makes Good Trouble.
As a descendant of Thomas Jefferson, he invited descendants of Jefferson’s slave, Sally Hemings, to the family reunion of white descendants of Jefferson. He lobbied in favor of the right of gay people to serve openly in the military. Truscott also authored five bestselling novels. His Substack newsletter is about politics, culture, personal stories, and the nation's descent into anti-democratic madness. |
