Blue CD2 New Mexico is a group of volunteers who are working to keep Gabe Vasquez in Congress. We're also supporting Alan Gonzalez, who's running for Otero County Commissioner District 1. He'll make life better for New Mexicans.
Alan Gonzalez

Alan Gonzalez is an involved community member who will fight to give District 1 residents the voice they need in county government. He will work to protect our water resources, prevent development that’s not in the best interests of local residents, and promote programs that serve the needs of rural families.
Alan supports the effort to expand the County Commission from three members to five members, which a majority of local voters want. Adding commissioners will allow each one to better represent the needs of their neighbors. And because county employees work diligently to help all of us, the County Commission must create a workspace environment that treats its people with dignity and inspires success.
Otero County needs a long-term economic plan that looks to future development that will sustain our children and grandchildren. That includes green energy jobs and the training to fill them. Alan promotes well-thought-out specific programs, such as Otero Juntos, a series of entrepreneurial hubs to implement development and training.

Alan will work tirelessly to support the implementation of New Mexico Senate Bill 3, which increases mental health services to the rural parts of our county.
Alan is a human relations (HR) specialist, so he knows how to work with other people to get things done, and how to help businesses be successful. He will do the same for the Otero County government. You can follow Alan’s campaign on his Facebook page.
