Blue CD2 New Mexico is a group of volunteers who are working to keep Gabe Vasquez in Congress. We're also supporting Evan Lambert, who's running for Otero County Commissioner District 2. He'll make life better for New Mexicans.

Evan Lambert believes that housing, wages, and government should serve the people who live in Otero County—not outside interests, insider networks, or rigged systems that take more than they give back.

As the founder of the nonprofit Community Power New Mexico, Evan has developed programs that truly benefit his neighbors, such as opening a tool library and building materials bank in Alamogordo and connecting at-risk youth with trades education.

Evan’s priorities as an Otero County Commissioner will include:

Enforce housing standards on negligent and absentee property owners.
Align wage standards with local costs while offering transition support for local businesses so wage growth does not destabilize employment.
Structure public investment, workforce training, and infrastructure development so that public funds and economic activity remain in the county.
Expand the Commission to five seats so that all our communities—particularly Chaparral and the Mescalero Apache Reservation—can help shape the decisions that affect their lives.
Create community councils with the authority to set county priorities and submit proposals before Commission decisions are made.
Make the Otero County government fully transparent and directly accountable to the people we serve.
