Blue CD2 New Mexico is a group of volunteers who are working to keep Gabe Vasquez in Congress. We're also supporting Grace Nagamine, who's running for NM House District 51. She'll make life better for New Mexicans.
Grace Nagamine
Grace Nagamine is a lifelong Alamogordo resident, wife, mother, grandmother, humanitarian, and Independent candidate for New Mexico House District 51. She believes leadership begins with faith, compassion, and service.
Grace’s priorities when representing Otero County in the Roundhouse will include:

-
Protecting Holloman AFB, its families, and the community bond around it. Grace will advocate at every opportunity for the base's long-term viability and growth.
-
Helping seniors age with dignity, supporting caregivers, and protecting the rights of disabled people.
-
Ensuring accountability for New Mexico’s child-welfare system by reforming CYFD, allocating sustained caseworker funding to reduce caseloads, and supporting kinship and foster families to keep kids in Otero County.
-
Addressing those experiencing homelessness or mental health crises by supporting COPE and local law enforcement to provide compassionate response and victim services.
-
Building an Otero County economy that doesn’t live or die by one employer, but which encourages small businesses and invests in education and workforce development.
-
Strengthening partnerships among Alamogordo, Otero County, and state governments to catch up on two decades of neglect in local roads, water systems, and other infrastructure.

See Grace’s specific goals for each of those priorities on her website, and follow her latest news on her Facebook page.
