NEW MEXICO’S MOONSHOT OF INVESTMENTS
Health Care
This is what good government looks like
New Mexico faces multiple barriers to a strong health care system, including a shortage of health care providers, poverty (40% of our population is enrolled in Medicaid), high numbers of people dealing with substance abuse, hard-to-reach rural populations, and the 2013 dismantling of the state’s behavioral health system. Over the last several years, our state’s leaders have begun addressing those barriers, one by one.
